Admissions

Welcome to Admissions at Maple Street School. Nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains of southwestern Vermont, Maple Street is a place where children learn and thrive. Our exceptional teachers, engaged learners, and supportive parents form a strong community that guides students to find and develop what is finest in themselves.

Start your inquiry with a 30-minute introductory call (using this link) with Julie Mackey, Director of Admissions, or jump ahead and schedule a tour.

We strongly suggest all families visit our campus before submitting an application. Please choose one of the following options:

Private Tour
Schedule a one-on-one visit HERE at a time that works for you. You’ll see classrooms in action and have time to ask questions along the way.

Welcome Wednesday Group Tour
For K-8 applicants. Drop in for a one-hour group tour of our main campus and see a typical school day in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Book HERE.

Virtual Tour
Can’t make it to campus? Take a guided video tour from home and get a feel for our classrooms, campus, and community.

When you’re ready to apply, complete our online application.

As part of the process, you’ll also share a records release form with your child’s current school so they can send us their records, and the application will ask you to request a recommendation from your child’s teacher.

To be considered in our first round of admission decisions, please submit your application by January 15, 2027.

Financial aid applications from current families are also due January 15, 2027.

After we receive your application, we’ll invite your child to visit so we can get to know them.

Pre-K and Kindergarten candidates will join us for a classroom visit outside the school day, while candidates for first through eighth grade will spend part of a school day with their prospective class.

We share admission decisions in early March, once current students have re-enrolled.

Qualified candidates who aren’t offered a spot right away will be placed in the wait pool for their class, and we continue to make decisions on a rolling basis as spaces become available.
