Linda Burnett

Linda Burnett brings over two decades of teaching experience, including 18 years at The Mountain School at Winhall, where she was deeply respected by students, families, and colleagues alike. Known for her calm presence, professionalism, and dedication to student growth, Linda has consistently been recognized as one of the most trusted and admired educators in the region.

Her career spans multiple grade levels, including Pre-K through grade six, and she is well-versed in curriculum development, classroom management, and differentiated instruction. Linda is trained in Responsive Classroom and the RULER approach from the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, and she has participated in a wide range of professional development programs including the Vermont Writing Project and Project Learning Tree.

She is also experienced in supporting students with behavioral plans and diverse learning needs.

After serving as Maple Street’s Fourth Grade Homeroom Teacher and Fourth and Fifth Grade Math Teacher, Linda will transition into a Lower School Support Teacher role. In this position, she will work closely with students and faculty across the Lower School, providing academic support, helping meet diverse learning needs, and contributing to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Linda’s deep experience, thoughtfulness, and steady presence continue to be a tremendous asset to our community, and we are grateful for the many ways she supports our students and teachers.
