Kindergarten Butterfly Release

Kindergarten kicked off the year with their traditional study of the Monarch butterfly life cycle. From egg, to caterpillar, to chrysalis, to butterfly, the Kinders made careful observations and drawings of the changes before their eyes.

This week, they completed their study by releasing the butterflies into their classroom’s garden! Tended and planted with a variety of pollinator-friendly flowers by Kinders and parent helpers each spring, the butterfly garden will give these fresh creatures plenty of sustenance as they wing out into the world.
