MSS Musicians Take the Stage at District Festivals

March 11, 2026

At Maple Street School, music is a vibrant part of our community, and it is always exciting to see our students share their talents beyond campus. This winter, several students had the opportunity to represent Maple Street at regional district music festivals, performing alongside talented young musicians from across Vermont.

On February 6, Dylan Miksis and Bryce traveled to Vergennes Union High School to participate in the district festival for jazz guitar (Dylan) and chorus (Bryce). Later, on March 6, Dylan Miksis, Brielle, and Isla attended the District Festival for Concert Band at Mill River, where they spent the day rehearsing with fellow musicians before performing in the evening concert.

These festivals bring together select groups of student musicians who successfully audition in the fall, making participation a meaningful recognition of both dedication and talent. Students spend the entire day rehearsing under the direction of guest conductors before sharing their work in a culminating concert.

We are proud of these talented and hardworking Maple Street musicians for representing the school so well. Go Moose!
