Upper School

Maple Street’s Upper School (Grades 6–8) is a place where students grow as curious, independent learners within a supportive and inclusive community. Grounded in our core values of Responsibility, Respect, and Resilience, students lead by example—modeling these ideals for one another and for younger members of our school.

Our curriculum deepens students’ skills in reading, writing, language development, public speaking, math, social studies, science, and foreign language, while nurturing a spirit of inquiry and a love of learning. Individual growth is encouraged through both personal challenge and meaningful collaboration. Each semester, students also engage in a rotation of daily elective courses, including art, music, PE, outdoor education, and service learning, which add depth, variety, and real-world connection to their school experience. Teachers honor each student’s unique learning style and help them discover strategies for success.
