Sean Bottomms
Sean Bottomms joins Maple Street School as our Kindergarten Assistant, bringing a thoughtful and creative presence to our early childhood team. A recent graduate of Williams College with a B.A. in English and a 3.81 GPA, Sean was a four-year Dean’s List student and the recipient of the William W. Kleinhandler Prize for Excellence in Music. He is currently deepening his expertise in early childhood education through coursework at both the Community College of Vermont and the Longy School of Music at Bard College, where he is studying Early Childhood Music Education.
Sean has been substitute teaching at both Maple Street and Long Trail School since 2024, supporting students from Pre-K through high school across a wide range of subjects. He also served as a teaching assistant for a Video Art course at Williams and worked as a snowboard instructor at Bromley Mountain. Sean’s background in music, storytelling, and collaborative learning informs his warm, engaging classroom presence.
Outside of school, he is a member of the Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department and enjoys creative performance, songwriting, and community service.
